Open to all years, an exciting chance to socialise with other medics and enjoy a night out!Meet 8pm at Trinity bar, then moving on to Hertford bar at 9pm (please go through the other main door to Hertford at the left hand side of the bridge).

Slight change of plan, as after that we’ll be heading on to The Junction!

Dear Freshers,

Congratulations on your results and we hope you are looking forward to the start of the best years of your lives! You have earned the opportunity to read Medicine at what is one of the most prestigious universities in the world- and we are here to help you to make the most of the opportunities available to you now.
A new and enthusiastic MedSoc Committee welcome you to Oxford; we exist to help ease you into the joys and struggles of university life as medics. We can all remember how nerve-wracking coming to Oxford can be at first, but we have some great events planned for you to make sure the nerves turn rapidly to excitement! This booklet will help you to learn more about everything that MedSoc has to offer, from the great events we put on during the year (including the infamous MedSoc ball!), to information about our range of stash, to the essential tips for surviving lectures and tutorials. Remember – we’re always here to help and we’ve done it all before, so don’t hesitate to get in contact with any of us at any time. We are all really excited to be involved in guiding you smoothly through your first year, and are committed to ensuring you make some fantastic friends and memories!
