About

As the name might suggest Oxford Medical Students Society, affectionately known as MedSoc, is a society that aims to support all medics (and quite a few horribly out-numbered physiologists) both in an academic sense and in terms of general welfare.

Our website has a list of constantly updated academic resources which you might find handy. We also have a couple of dedicated welfare officers to whom you can speak confidentially about anything that might be bothering you. Their contact details can be found in the welfare section.

We also organise a number of events, big and small, from cocktail nights to pub crawls, from lectures to balls. Check out the Entz section of this guide for more info on planned events this year, including the all important Dissection Drinks. Our website, facebook page, newsletter and the MedSoc notice board on the ground floor of the MSTC (Medical Sciences Teaching Centre) will also contain details of up and coming events.

Finally, MedSoc also exists to aid communication between the student body and the faculty and can act as the medium through which comments, questions and suggestions can be passed on to the staff during termly and yearly reviews. You will also get discounted tickets to our events, and benefits and discounts all around Oxford, so keep an eye out here for all the latest and greatest!
